Once you have a finished master model — either a polished casting or a high-detail 3D print — we create a silicone or rubber mold around it. The mold lets you produce identical wax copies for casting, over and over. One mold can produce hundreds or thousands of wax injections before needing replacement.
This is the bridge between prototyping and production. Instead of 3D printing every wax model individually, you invest once in a mold and then produce waxes at a fraction of the cost and time. We cut the mold by hand along optimal parting lines to ensure clean wax extraction without damaging fine detail.
Heat-cured rubber molds for high-volume production. Extremely durable — handles thousands of wax injections. Best for designs without heat-sensitive stones or delicate undercuts.
Room-temperature vulcanizing silicone for delicate masters. No heat involved, so safe for models with pre-set stones or temperature-sensitive materials. Excellent detail reproduction.
Multiple copies of the same design in a single mold frame. Speeds up wax injection for high-volume orders. Consistent sizing across all cavities.
Same ring design in multiple sizes within one mold. Common for production lines that need to stock a range of sizes from a single design.
Designs with deep undercuts, moving parts, or intricate geometry need expertly planned parting lines. We cut by hand to ensure clean wax release without tearing.
Worn out mold? We can duplicate it from an existing wax or casting. We also repair damaged molds when the master model is no longer available.
Your master model is cleaned, polished, and inspected. Any surface imperfections on the master will transfer to every wax copy, so we make sure it's flawless before molding.
The master is embedded in rubber or silicone, then cured (vulcanized or room-temperature depending on type). The mold is cut open along planned parting lines.
Hot wax is injected into the mold under pressure, cooled, then carefully extracted. Each wax copy is inspected and ready for casting. The mold is reusable for thousands of injections.
